What to Expect: Before, During, and After

Before Your Treatment

We'll ask you to avoid retinoids, exfoliants, and sun exposure for about a week before your appointment.

During the Treatment

A topical numbing cream is applied 30–45 minutes before the procedure. The treatment itself takes about 15–30 minutes. Most patients describe a warm, prickling sensation — very manageable with the numbing cream in place.

After Your Treatment

Expect redness and a mild sunburn feeling for the first 24–48 hours. By days 3–5, skin will begin to peel as the old surface sheds. Keep skin moisturized, avoid picking, and stay out of direct sun. By day 5–7, most patients are comfortable returning to work with light makeup.

How Many Treatments Do I Need?

For optimal results, we typically recommend a series of 3 CoolPeel® treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Many patients notice a visible improvement after just one session, but the cumulative effect of a series produces the most significant and lasting results.
